Nothing
like starting the new year off right with a Ghanaian azonto hit, right? This
azonto song is not coming from Sarkodie or Fuse ODG, but from an artist from the
diverse and lively Dansoman neighborhood of Accra,
Ghana.
Blaka, also known as "Tualai",
which means 'He who does not tell lies', is a Hip-life recording artist and
producer. He grew up listening to hip-hop artists and learned rhythm himself by
playing drums at church.
His song 'Tozo' means 'It's life' and according to Akwaaba music, the song is "Concerned with helping Dansoman's
youth rise to the top, [and is released] as both a dance anthem
and a positive call for action among fellow underground artists."
If you like his azonto beats, keep up-to-date with Blaka's releases by following him on Facebook.
