100 Must-Reads for Humanitarians

A Humanitarian's Guide to Books
Most of the books I read are on humanitarian issues or on other countries because that is what I'm passionate about. I've recently added a tab on the top of my blog of the current book I'm reading as well as other books I've read in the past that I've enjoyed.

Recently I found a website that lists 100 books that humanitarians must read. Whether or not you are or aspiring to be a humanitarian, I'd say these books should be must-reads for anyone wishing to be more informed on global issues or who want to make a difference in the world. The list includes memoirs, fiction, inspiration, educational, non-fiction, fundraising, and much more. So no matter what your interests are, you will find a book on this list to read. I've already read many of the books on this list and can say that they were fantastic! A few of my favorites have been The Kite Runner, A Long Way Gone, What is the What, God Grew Tired of Us, and Half the Sky. My goal is to read all these books (as well as the books I have on my own reading list) so I have my work cut out for me these next few months! I'll try to post about what books I've enjoyed and would recommend as I finish them. If you have read any of the books on that list or have read ones that are not on that list that you would recommend, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Enjoy!
