Patients Per Doctor Around the World

Life's Not So Bad After All?
I found this map the other day on twitter from @Camefed and found it really interesting and eye-opening. The website it's from says that it hangs on the wall of a doctors office in the Netherlands to remind people how good their healthcare is. If you zoom in on the picture it's quite shocking to find that Cuba has the best ratio of 170 patients per doctor while Sub-Saharan Africa brings up the rear with numbers exceeding 10,000 (even pushing 50,000) patients per doctor. Being an aspiring aid doctor, this reminded me what I've set out to do. This map is just more evidence as to how great our lives are...and the endless possibilities of things we can do to help those in need.
